The software has a optional built in calendar creation feature. This tool will allow you to share your calendar as a URL link or by embedding the calendar into your organization's website. The access the calendar tool, go to the Events module, and click on the Event Calendar Setup page. 



Activating the Calendar for Event Pages


In order to have your event included on the calendar, you must activate the option on your event page's Settings tab.



In the Page Content & Display Options section, set Show on Calendar to YES.

Next choose the Display Preference. The two options are:

  • Use Event Start & End Date - Uses the start and end date you have listed at the top of the Setting tab. This is typically used for single occurance events.
  • Use Ticket Level Available Days - Typically used for recurring events and will include a calendar entry for each occurrence of the event for each ticket level.

Setting the Show on Calendar to YES will integrate this event to your calendar. This would be considered an event that is “connected” to your calendar.



Editing and Publishing Your Calendar

 

On the Event Calendar Set Up page, you can customize the some of the features of your calendar. You can choose:

  • Theme - choose a color theme from the drop down menu. When you make a selection, the preview will update below.
  • Show Logo - Set to Yes to show your organization's default logo that is set up in your Account Settings.
  • Default Calendar View - Choose whether you want your calendar to display the Day, Week, Month or Summary view of your upcoming events. The summary view will display your upcoming events for the week in a list.

Click Save after you have made your choices.

You can publish your calendar either by using the Copy URL button or by using Copy Embed Code to embed the html code into your organization's website.



Adding Unconnected Events


By default, the calendar will only show connected events. Outside of connected events you can also create a unconnected event which are not tied to a registration page created through the software. 

Unconnected events can be created directly on the Event Calendar Set Up page by clicking on the desired day for your event. A new window will popup and allow you to enter the unconnected event’s details, including:

  • Title – What name should display for this Event
  • Start – Enter the date and possibly the time this Event will start.
  • End – Enter the data and possibly the time this Event will end.
  • All Day Event – Uncheck this box if you wish to put in the exact Start and End Times above for this Event.
  • Repeat – If this is a recurring Event select how frequently the Event will recur (Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly). If this is not a recurring Event then leave “Never” selected. Based on which frequency you select their may be additional fields displayed.
  • Description – Enter the content you wish to display for this event when a viewer launches it on the Calendar.

You can create as many unconnected events as desired. 



To remove a unconnected event you can mouse over the listing on the Calendar and click the “x” icon in the top right corner of the listing. Or double click on that Event listing and there will be a “Delete” button available within the dialog that pops up. You can also edit a listing by double clicking on the event.


Any Events added to the Calendar will automatically update to the published version of Calendar if you have already placed the URL or Embed code for public view.
