"Status" is the status of that specific membership transaction, "Current Status" is the overall status of the member.  

The Membership - Summary grid will only show the most recent membership transaction for the constituent, so only one membership transaction record will be visible for each constituent in this view. 

The Memberships - Details grid will show a history of all membership transactions and all primary and secondary members associated with a membership. The Status on this grid will indicate whether or not that particular membership transaction is the most current and is Active. Or, it will display as Inactive if it is an expired membership or one that has been replaced buy a newer membership membership transaction.
